Get Involved! Join a Committee!

There is an old business maxim: "You get out what you put in." That certainly holds true at CAI-CT.

We have a variety of committees for you to serve on. Conference & Expo, Education Programs, Golf, Publications, and more are all active committees seeking your involvement. Since you are interested in making some very strong business connections, why not get involved today? Prime networking experiences await those who answer the call.

 

 Event Support

Our committee volunteers are great!   BUT we need more volunteers during our events!   We are looking for folks to volunteer during our events.   Checking people in, setting up signs, tackling AV equipment glitches and moving supplies in and out of our venues.   If you think you might be interested, please email ellen@caict.org!

 

NETWORKING TASK FORCES

These mini-committees are a great way to get started with CAI-CT.   Work with other volunteers in your area to plan a party!   They require a small time commitment, that reaps great rewards.

Paradise – Responsible for Southern Connecticut summer networking & education for board members managers and vendors. Chair – Mea Anderson, Crystal Restoration Services of Connecticut; Prez Carneiro,  People's United Insurance Agency; Paul DeGennaro, Ingleside Associates; Richard J. Smeriglio, Plaza Realty & Management Corporation; Mark Liberman, On The Mark Management; Victoria McCarthy, SavaTree/SavaLawn. Meets four times a year in Bridgeport.  Event scheduled for June 8th.


Spring Fling
 - Responsible for Northern Connecticut networking for board members managers and vendors. Chair – Linda Schaller, M & S Paving and Sealing, Inc.; Donna McCombe, Simsbury Bank; Tom Johnson, BELFOR Property Restoration.  Meets twice a year.  Event scheduled on April 27th.


Summer Sizzler 
- Responsible for New Haven County networking for board members managers and vendors. Chair – Carrie Mott, Bouvier Insurance; Chris Hansen, Esq., Sandler, Hansen & Alexander, P.C.; Mike Cody, BELFOR Property Restoration; Joe Cifarelli, Pro-Klean Cleaning & Restoration Services; Licia Ciotti United Cleaning & Restoration. Meets twice a year.  Event scheduled for August 3th.

 

Committees -

Annual Awards Selection Committee

Responsible for developing criteria for the nomination and selection process of our Annual Awards known as the CAMMIES.   This committee was established in 2015.  They meet approximately 5 times per year in Stratford.  Chair - Dave Pilon, Bouvier Insurance; Steve Berg, Esq., Frankel & Berg; Wayne Dow, Kevin Davis Insurance Services; Andrea Dunn, Bender, Anderson & Barba, P.C.

 
Conference

Responsible for Annual Conference, March 18, 2017 over 80 exhibitors, 8 education

sessions, over 550 attendees.  Meets in Seymour,  generally once a month, more often as necessary. Chair – Karl Kuegler, Imagineers, LLC; Bill Jackson, Belfor Property Restoration; Greg Zajac, Building Renewal, LLC; Matt Gilbert, CSC ServiceWorks; Chas A. Education Program

Responsible for networking & education programs for board members, managers and vendors.  Meets monthly, Hartford.  Co-Chairs - Pam Bowman, Prime Touch Services; Donna Rathbun, Imagineers, LLC; Jean Dobbin, Dobbin Management Inc.; Chas A. Ryan, Esq., Franklin G. Pilicy, P.C.

 

Fall Fundraiser

Responsible for Fall Fun event on September 28, 2017Chair - Carrie Mott, Bouvier Insurance; Bill Jackson, Belfor Property Restoration; Mea Anderson, Crystal Restoration Services; Diane Dumais, Safesidewalks.com, Doug Miller, Scherneker Property Services, Inc., Greg Roberts, Westford Real Estate Management, Marcy Ventresca, New Look Painting and Construction, Inc. Meets 6 times a year in Glastonbury.

Golf 

Responsible for Annual Golf Tournament, June 12, 2017, over 140 golfers, many sponsors.  Meets in Glastonbury, meets about four times a year.  Chair -  Steve Bennett, Servpro of Manchester/Bolton; Carrie Mott, Bouvier Insurance; Dan Rys, Windsor Federal Savings;  Paul Gray, Certa Pro Painters; Joe Cifarelli, Pro-Klean Cleaning & Restoration Services; Jim Torello, BELFOR Property Restoration

Responsible for Legislative Advocacy, Meets in Farmington, generally once a month, more often as necessary.

Publication
