Do you have an idea for an article? We are always looking for new subjects of interest for community associations and the professionals that provide services to them. If you have an idea for an article please contact us! Contact: Common Interest Author Guidelines: We enthusiastically encourage submissions for our magazine. Before you begin your article, please take a few moments to review the author’s guidelines. Purpose: Articles published in Common Interest have the same goal: to inform and educate CAI-CT members. The must not serve as flagrant marketing pieces for a company’s services. However, case studies specifically linked to the premise of the article may be acceptable. The article should provide specific advice about specific issues. It is important to substantiate the facts and opinions presented. Credit quotes, documents and personal observations in your writing. Article Specifications: Articles should be submitted as Word documents via email to: caictkmcclain@sbcglobal.net. Please include a two-three sentence biography of your position/affiliation. Articles may be of two lengths: up to 600 words for a short informational item or 900-1,200 words for a more detailed educational piece. An author’s headshot may be submitted along with any digital photos that are relevant to the article. Editorial Policy: The editor reserves the right to omit and/or condense information as necessary to accommodate layout requirements. Please let us know if your article was published in and/or submitted to other publications.
