CAI-CT Manager Regulation Alert

There was a discussion at the 9/12/07 Managers’ session about the state requirement for the registration of community association managers with the Department of Consumer Protection.  Our speaker, Scott Sandler, Esq., spoke with the investigator that he has been talking with at the Department of Consumer Protection.  He was informed that the DCP now interprets the changes to the manager registration statute to require individual registration of all individual persons who provide management services, as defined in the statutes. People working within a management company are no longer covered under the "umbrella" of the company's registration.

Please note that ALL managers working with your company must be registered with the Department of Consumer Protection.
