  3. To develop programs to better serve the needs of CAM firms.
  4. To solicit from all community association managers their expectations in the areas of CAI-CT services, education, and information and provide the CAI-CT Board of their input regarding their ideas, perceptions, and opinions.

Advisory Panel:

  • Al Griffiths, Whitney Management & Maintenance Co.
  • Ken Kohnle, Elite Property Management LLC
  • Stephen Margolis, Margolis-Barkin Realty Co.

The “advisory panel” of CAM firm owners represents a diverse group of interests, geographic locations and sizes. They all share however many years of experience, knowledge and success in this industry. They helped develop guidelines for the operation of the Managers’ Council and identified those topics and issues that challenge our profession.

Managers Council meetings are for all CAMs registered in Connecticut whether they are a firm owner, employee and/or their representative(s). The location of the meetings is usually in the general Waterbury Area because it is geographically central to almost all parts of the state. There is a modest cost for the meetings with a discount for CAI members.

The meetings start at 8:30 am with a continental breakfast and introduction of attendees, sponsor and chapter news and end at 12:00 noon. The meeting agenda format is designed to provide a forum for discussion with information that is educational and informative. The agenda is presented in three segments hosted by a moderator who introduces the topic and panel of experts.

The moderator’s role is to identify and outline the issues and problems related to the topic. The panel offers various view points and solutions with a focus on answering attendee questions. Common Interest articles will be published after the meetings to further educate clients and practitioners about the issues discussed.
