PROTECT COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION INDEPENDENCE
OPPOSE HB 7276

The Connecticut State Legislature will hold a public hearing tomorrow, March 6, 2019. We need your help to contact the Planning and Development Committee and urge them to oppose HB 7276, a bill concerning certain group child care and family child care homes that would impose legislation that would be supersede any covenant restrictions on home-based commercial activities. Each community has the right to allow such activity as they deem appropriate, provided that a majority of owners agree. Help us protect community association independence in Connecticut.

TAKE ACTION NOW
We're counting on you to take five minutes to send a customized email to the Planning and Development Committee urging them to oppose HB 7276. We encourage you to customize this email with stories about how this bill would affect you and your community association. Elected officials depend on constituent stories like yours to inform and defend their vote.
CAI advocates for state legislatures and regulatory agencies to acknowledge the right of self-determination by owners who elect volunteers and have a vested interest in their communities. Community associations should have the power to decide policies, including child care and family child care homes.
